I grew up going to Church and accepted Christ when I was 11 years old.
I use to get kicked out almost weekly in youth group for messing
around. Each week after youth group the man who would kick me out,
would remind me that God loves me and has a purpose for my life. As I
matured I realized that even though I was rebellious, God still cared
and loved me.
After high school I knew God had called me to the Phoenix theater and
he had plans for me there. I have put on several christian concerts and
have established relationships with the kids there. Pastor Zach started
a worship service at the Phoenix called "the Switch." At this point in
my life I had been involved with calvary, but it was not my home
church, but shortly after attending the Switch I knew this was the
church God wanted me to attend. Side note, I met my wife Melissa at the Switch and we were married at the Phoenix three years later.
In the past two years I have gotten involved with sound ministry and
the college group ministry at the Church. You will normally see me
running sound and dancing around in the sound booth during First
Fridays and every other Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. My wife and I currently are involved with the college group and our main
responsibility is to head up a monthly outreach at the Phoenix, called
Jesus night. We prepare a meal and along with members of the college
group and friends (and my brother) share Christ's love by providing
music, a speaker or just a relaxing evening of conversation depending
on the month and what God put on peoples hearts.
Currently in my free time I am assisting my brother Matt with putting
on Christian concerts in Sonoma County, including the Phoenix. We are
averaging about 3-4 a month and are in the works of planning a big
outreach at the Phoenix, Lord willing. In the past year I have slowly
started and am still in the process of getting my christian clothing
company off the ground called Church Gang Clothing (the name was the
nickname some of the Phoenix Kids use to call me and my group of
friends). I make simple designs and hand screen print shirts to keep
cost low so that I can provide a simple and affordable way to share you
faith. I am really excited to see what God has planned for me in the future and that whatever it is I know it is going to be interesting.
